Angel Tags and Angel Trees Image

Angel Tags and Angel Trees

Give a local child a gift and a smile this holiday season!

The Salvation Army's Angel tags represent local children whose families have come to us for help this Christmas season. Each tag has a few suggested gifts that a child would like to receive. These tags are great for any work, church or community group that wants to help kids - who might otherwise go without - receive gifts for the holidays.

Angel trees can be hung from a traditional tree, placed next to a table-top tree, can be used to “make a tree” on any wall.  They can also be hung from counter tops or any ledge as well! Your team should be invited to take an angel and shop use the suggested gifts as a guide. A customized, co-branded flyer can be made for you to share information with your staff about how it works, begin/end dates and who to contact with questions.

Once the gifts are purchased, they should be left unwrapped, with the angel tag taped to the top or placed inside a giftbag with the item(s). Angel gifts will need to be delivered to our Toy Shop on West Avenue (great photo opportunity!) If you take more than 25 angel tags, we can schedule a pickup!

Your long distance or remote employees can also participate with our virtual angel tree. The Salvation Army of Greater Rochester has it's own online wish list made from local angels. Buying a toy on our registry sends a gift right to our Rochester toy shop.

Put your request in now to receive your angel tags as early as November 1, 2024 - the sooner the better for all who are participating! Email our Angel Tree coordinator at maureen.hill@use.salvationarmy.org

Drop-off dates for collections under 25 tags: Monday, December 2nd and Tuesday, December 3rd from 9:30am to 10:30am and from 3pm to 4pm.

Pick-up deadline for collections over 25 tags: Wednesday December 4th, 2024.

On behalf of all the families we serve, thank you for bringing happiness to the lives of children in our community.

We’re so grateful to have you help us do the most good!
