Each year Rochester's Salvation Army hosts a Red Kettle competition called “Battle Of The Bells”.
Teams from different categories compete to raise the most donations between Mid-November and Christmas Eve.
This year there are LOTS of opportunities to win as we expanded into even MORE categories!
The Battle Of The Bells categories for this year are:
Those who wish to compete must be in a team of two or more participants. Teams must ring at a Salvation Army Red Kettle for a minimum of four hours total during the Red Kettle season. The money raised during each team’s shift will be tracked and counted towards their total. There’s no limit of shifts or hours each team can ring!
Every team member does not have to ring at every shift. A minimum of one team representative is all that’s needed for donations to count towards your team’s total.
All teams will receive a certificate of participation with the team’s total number of hours and money raised.
The winning team in each category also receives:
recognition in our next newsletter
invitations to our next Gratitude Gathering breakfast
an engraved 1st place plaque with the year, group category and team name
The overall winner from all categories will have their team name engraved on our
Remember, you can ring as often as you like - the more you ring the more donations will count towards your team's total!
