Events

This year, The Salvation Army of Greater Rochester aims to share 300+ winter coats with local kids in need.  You can help by collecting coats for the shop, setting up the shop space, or by being a shop greeter or assistant while its open to families.

Host a Coat Collection

• organize a new coat drive at your workplace, church, club or organization
• collect monetary donations to help us purchase new coats for kids ages 0-15

We provide custom fliers, branded boxes and more to make your collection a success! Email maureen.hill@use.salvationarmy.org to plan your Coats For Kids drive today.

Volunteers Needed at Coats For Kids Event!

Set Up the Coat Shop 

•  Tuesday November 4th from 2:00pm to 5:00pm 

You can help with unboxing new coats, sorting coats by size, hanging/arranging coats and making the shop area welcoming to families!

Assist Families at the Shop Event

• Thursday, November 6th from 3:30pm to 5:30pm
• Friday, November 7^th from 3:30pm to 5:30pm
• Saturday, November 8^th from 9:30am to 12:30pm

Be a shop guide for families who come to pick out their children's new winter coats. Help children find their perfect coat size and color! Volunteers are also needed at the check-in table and to restock the racks as coats leave with kids.
